Across Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Across Weather mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

a) Location Data Our Service requires access to your device's location to provide local weather forecasts.

• How it is used: To fetch weather data from our providers and to convert coordinates into readable city names (geocoding).
• Sharing: Your location coordinates are shared with Open-Meteo (Weather API) and LocationIQ (Geocoding API). This data is also shared with Google AdMob to serve relevant advertisements, unless you have opted out of personalized ads.

b) Usage Data & App Activity We collect information on how the Service is accessed and used. This includes:

• App Interactions: We use PostHog and Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze session duration and feature interaction.
• Analytics Events: Automated events such as session duration, app updates, and first opens to help us understand user retention and app health.
• Remote Configuration: We use Firebase Remote Config to manage app features and behavior dynamically.
• Advertising Data: Clicks and impressions on advertisements shown within the app.

c) Device Identifiers We and our third-party service providers (Google AdMob, Google Analytics, Sentry) collect identifiers such as Android Advertising ID and Firebase App Instance IDs to analyze performance and prevent fraud.

d) Crash Logs and Performance Data We use Sentry for error monitoring and Expo (650 Industries) to deliver over-the-air updates and manage notifications. These services may collect IP addresses and device metadata at the time of an error or update.
